Why is my IP address blocked?

Why do you block IP addresses?
We may under special circumstances block specific IP addresses when it impacts the stability of Zenodo for other users. Usually this can happen if an API client is performing an excessive amount of automated requests to Zenodo, or if a Denial of Service (DoS) attack is perform from a given IP address.

How do I know if my IP address is being blocked?
If your IP address is being blocked, you'll get a HTTP 403 or 429 error message which says you are being blocked and you should contact us on support@zenodo.org.

Can you remove the IP address blocking?
Please contact us on support@zenodo.org to have your IP address unblocked. Please include your public IP address in the request (you can find your public IP address by typing "what's my ip" in Google).
